Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority’s eagerness for sustained growth (its recent initiative of becoming Asia’s next cruise ship playground for instance) thus motivates GigaMare to deliver relevant training solutions supporting SBMA’s steps on developing a competent workforce.
March 8, 2018 – sixteen Seaport Department personnel finished GigaMare’s Ship Operations Course. The department’s ship boarding officers, maritime safety officers, planning officers, and division chief joined the two-day-training where port rules and regulations (specifically on cargo and passenger vessels) were discussed. Guest experience and revenue opportunities were presented on the latter part of the course.
Basic LNG Cargo Handling, and the Slinging Lifting & Securing Cargo Course are among the previous trainings conducted for this joint effort with SBMA. Several training opportunities are in line throughout the year.
