“Wherever you go, bring four things with you … Integrity, Character, Passion, and Love” – Amy Eisma
24 August – SBMA Chairman and Administrator Amy Eisma shared inspiring words to this year’s Deck and Engine Cadet graduates during her site visit at GigaMare Inc’s Subic Bay training facility.
Twelve future captains and chief engineers started GigaMare’s Structured Training Program late week of June 2018 in preparation for their first assignments on board Nordic Hamburg vessels, their principal companies. During the cadets’ 8 weeks training, learning gaps were addressed and improved through mentorship, blended learning experience, and practical skills development.
After the ceremony, Chairman Eisma and her group, together with GigaMare’s management team went on a quick tour within the training facility. Likewise with SBMA’s apparent heart for several development initiatives, GigaMare expressed its passion for continuous advancement plans and programs. SBMA’s initiative for sustained growth is one of GigaMare’s motivations to deliver relevant training portfolios and services. Furthermore, during the visit, one of the promising discussions is GigaMare’s ongoing preparation for a maritime development program opportunity for residents of SBMA adjacent communities.
