Job Opportunity: Electronics and Communications Engineering Lab Assistant
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Major in Electronics and Communications Engineering graduate.
- Excellent public speaking skills.
- Excellent teaching skills.
- Willingness to be trained in the operation and maintenance of ship handling and engine room simulators.
- Willingness to be trained in the operation and maintenance of various Electrical and Electronic trainers.
- Previous job experience is not required but is an advantage.
Job Description:
- Assist in laboratory exercises and assessments in the DELTECH Lab.
- Assist instructors and assessors in the operation and familiarization of laboratory tools and equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic tools and equipment used for training.
- Create additional electrical and electronic trainers as needed.
- Improve existing electrical and electronics trainers for enhanced training effectiveness.
- Perform storekeeping duties of electrical and electronic hand tools and test equipment.
- Prepare and operate the Engine Room Simulators (Transas, Rheinmetall, and Unitest).
- Facilitate laboratory and practical exercises in the absence of an instructor.
Note: This position requires a blend of technical expertise in electronics and communications engineering, teaching skills, and the ability to operate and maintain specialized training equipment.
